Darren Lee Clarke is a photographer and academic and is an advocate for ethical storytelling and social justice.

Born and raised in rural South Warwickshire, UK with a particular interest in environmental portraits, documentary and the preservation of tradition - his core objective is always to share the story with veracity, whatever the genre. Most recently working and exhibiting in Malaysia with his project RITE, this ongoing series highlights the fragility of indigenous rituals and the external ‘behaviours’ that oppress their existence.

He recently gained a Master’s Degree in Photography at Falmouth, is an Associate of the Royal Photographic Society, and engages with The Photography Ethics Centre and Dignified Storytellers.
